It’s time for Bakersfield residents to recognize all East Bakersfield has to offer. With Thanksgiving having just passed, it’s good to show gratitude for all Kern County is and continues to become.

Let’s Eat

Hungry? Eastside locals can eat at world-famous Basque restaurants, like Wool Growers and Pyrenees Cafe, and others, including Spencer’s & Tony’s Firehouse Grill & Pizza, and many more. There’s a particular kind of humble attitude that the people of East Bakersfield carry. Therefore, it’s time they boast a little more. As columnist Herb Benham puts it, “East Bakersfield was a brand before people went cuckoo about brands.”

The Great Outdoors

So, what else sets the eastside apart? East Bakersfield has natural, rolling hills that add beauty and interest to views and outdoor activities. That’s why the Tarina Homes team can’t wait for families to enjoy all the outdoor activities surrounding Shamrock Hills. The neighborhood has so much to offer, including The Tarina Homes Sports Complex at Mesa Marin Park, with a dog park, softball diamonds, splash pad, playground, and future skatepark.

Grade A+ Schools

Time to play and time to learn! There is a new elementary school directly across the street from Shamrock Hills. Also, there’s a fantastic middle school close by too. We know Stockdale, Seven Oaks, and other fantastic areas get much praise, but drive east to see Shamrock Hills, the latest growth popping up in northeast Bakersfield!
